About David Nohr, LAc
David is a Chinese Medicine Physician, specializing in acupuncture and herbal medicine. He has a practice locally in San Diego where he treats patients with a broad demographic from infants to elderly. David’s passion for introspective personal growth and his desire to share healing in the world guided him to his studies in the ancient arts of Chinese Medicine. Studying herbalism now for over 9 years. He graduated with a masters degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, one of the nation’s leading schools for acupuncture, massage, Chinese herbal medicine and integrative medicine.
David also has a degree from Heartwood Institute, where he studied an eclectic blend of Eastern and Western nutrition as taught by Healing with Whole Foods author Paul Pitchford. He graduated from the Institute of Classics In East Asian Medicine
after studying for several years with Arnaud Versluys, who follows an ancient lineage Chinese Herbal system. His passion for learning continues to take him to China for work and education where he studies under classical medical doctor Suzanne Robidoux. and master herbalist Dr. Feng.
His internal search for self understanding is an inspiration and it finds a complimentary external expression in the taoist medical arts. Since a young age Tai Chi and martial arts have been an intricate part in David’s life. He has sat and served in Vipassana meditation since 1999 and personally commits to a daily practice. David Nohr has a strong personal connection to the land of Africa, being born and raised until age 11 in Zimbabwe. When he is not at work David enjoys hiking, yoga and traveling.
